A CDL-A Company Driver's primary duty is to transport goods using company-owned commercial vehicles while maintaining safety and meeting delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive trucks assigned by the company to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct inspections prior to departure and after arriving to confirm the vehicle's safety and regulatory adherence.
- Maintain punctuality by following assigned routes and schedules accordingly.
- Maintain detailed driving logs while following federal and state requirements.
- Keep dispatchers informed about delivery statuses and promptly report any issues that arise during transportation.
- Ensure that the cargo is securely restrained and managed to minimize the risk of damage.
- Adhere to both traffic regulations and corporate guidelines.
- Provide support with the loading and unloading of cargo when required.
