In this role, owner operators are responsible for managing their own commercial vehicles and overseeing the transportation of goods:
A CDL-A Owner Operator is a self-employed driver who owns and operates their commercial vehicle, transporting freight for client firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and care for personally owned commercial vehicles used for freight transportation.
- Organize and coordinate delivery routes and timetables for efficient deadline completion.
- Effectively oversee business costs, including fuel expenses, maintenance fees, and insurance charges.
- Ensure that all goods are transported safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that detailed records of driving tasks and vehicle servicing are maintained.
