Sam's Club is hiring for Cake Decorator

As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.

What you'll do:

Be a Team Member:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.

Be an Expert:
Plan bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs. Follow recipe measurement instructions, use decorating tools (such as bags, tips, and nozzles) to create flowers and lettering on bakery items. Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management. Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment while demonstrating product and layout execution understanding.

Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality, with the member in mind. Encourage the adoption of new tools.

Be an Owner:
Drive bakery performance by ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events. Assist members with purchasing decisions, identify their needs, and resolve any issues or concerns.

Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocate for the brand by valuing the member's experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products. Interact with associates to understand challenges and assist in training, developing, and inspiring a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment.

Compliance and Execution:
Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy. Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners, addressing priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Adapt and learn from changes, challenges, and feedback.

Hourly Wage Range: $17.00 to $24.00 (may include additional premiums)

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 months' experience in a fresh production area
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must successfully complete all required training and assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cake Decorating experience
